Ways to plan your week

Here are some ways members use the three locations. Come on your own, with a partner, with family, or with your dog — whatever suits you.

La Union is for the beach — swimming, surfing and slower days. Tanay is quieter, up in the mountains. BGC is where you go to work, meet people or hold an event in the city.

Value

What it's worth

A membership costs ₱3,000 a month. Here is what that buys in comparison with market rates, see some scenarios below.

Staying a week

Where you stay5 days · 4 nights7 days · 6 nightsWhat you get
Mid-range beach resort
Standard room, La Union or Zambales
₱20,000–₱32,000 ₱30,000–₱48,000 A room. Meals, activities and day access extra.
Upper mid-range resort
Beachfront, Siargao or Palawan
₱32,000–₱60,000 ₱48,000–₱90,000 A room and a pool. Flights on top for most people.
High-end island resort ₱80,000+ ₱120,000+ A holiday. Not somewhere you can work from for a week.
Bulod Nomad Suite
Members only · Caba, La Union
₱15,000 ₱25,000 A room, a desk, the pool, the beach, the café and the campgrounds — plus free day access for your guests.

A Bulod stay of 5 days is 4 nights, and 7 days is 6 nights — the resort figures above are matched to the same number of nights, at typical published rates for a standard double room before meals, day-use fees or activities. A membership is ₱3,000 a month on top, so a 5-day member stay lands around ₱18,000 all in, and everything at all three locations stays open to you the rest of the year.

Working from BGC

Where you workHalf dayFull dayWhat it's like
Café in BGC ₱300–₱600 ₱600–₱1,200 You pay in drinks. Noisy, no guaranteed seat, and someone is usually waiting for your table.
Co-working day pass
Typical BGC operator
₱500–₱900 ₱800–₱1,500 A desk, usually several floors up, with a lift queue at either end of the day.
Bulod Uptown BGC
Ground floor, Uptown Eastgate
₱300 / 4 hours ₱600 Walk straight in from the street — no lobby, no lift, no sign-in. Prime Uptown location. Mondays are members only, so it stays quiet and you are working alongside the same community.

Café and co-working figures are typical BGC rates, not quotes from any one place. Bulod is on the ground floor of the Uptown Eastgate Building at 11th Avenue and 36th Street, so you are in and working in under a minute.

Pool, gym and courts

What you usePay as you goMonthlyWhat it's like
Commercial gym ₱300–₱600 / day pass ₱1,500–₱3,500 Busy after office hours, and usually a lock-in contract to get the lower rate.
Hotel or condo pool

Free Included The beach-facing lap pool in La Union, plus gym and courts where the location has them — no day fees, no booking charge, no contract.

The part that isn't money

The rates above are easy to compare. This part is harder to put a number on, and it is usually why people stay. The places where people live longest and best — the so-called Blue Zones — have a few things in common: they move naturally, eat well, keep a sense of purpose, wind down properly, and stay close to the people around them. A week here is built the same way.

What changesA usual weekA week at Bulod
Moving naturally A gym membership you stop using by March, and a day spent mostly sitting. Swimming before breakfast, walking to the café, the trail up to the river. Movement is part of the day rather than another task on the list.
Winding down Evenings that end with a screen, and sleep that never quite catches up. Sunset from the sand, a bonfire, and nothing scheduled after dark. The day slows down on its own instead of being switched off.
Deep work Meetings all day, real work pushed to the evening, and a commute at both ends. Long uninterrupted stretches with nobody booking your calendar. Most people get more done in four days here than in a month at the office.
Privacy Open-plan noise, or a café where someone is waiting for your table. A co-working space kept to members on Mondays so it never fills up with strangers.
Time with people Seeing family and friends when the calendar allows, which is rarely. Bring your partner, the kids, or your dog. Feel better surrounded by the people and companions you love.
Community Tired of wasting your time in places where noise makes you uncomfortable. Bulod brings together productive workshops and unplugged music for a more laid-back, meaningful approach to a night out.
Being outside Air conditioning, fluorescent light, and a view of another building. The sea at Caba, the river and forest at Daraitan. Daylight, salt air and open space, which is the part no city apartment can give you.
Eating well Whatever is quickest between meetings. Fresh local food from the sea and nearby farms, simply prepared with fewer preservatives. Proper meals, eaten slowly and shared around the table.
Purpose A year of weeks that look the same. A handful of weeks you actually remember, and a routine you can keep up — rather than a holiday you come back needing to recover from.
