Our roots and rebuilding our mountain sanctuary in Tanay
Bulod began in the mountains of Daraitan, Tanay, Rizal, where we first developed the idea together with the Dumagat community in the area.
These mountains shaped the early story of Bulod and the way we think about community, nature, and slow living.
Deep in the Sierra Madre, Daraitan is a place where mountains, rivers, forests, and community come together. The area is known for its lush mountain landscapes, the clear waters of the Daraitan and Tinipak Rivers, dramatic marble rock formations, and the deep cultural roots of the Dumagat-Remontado community.
